JACKOBOARD Aqua Installation Kit

Description

The JACKOBOARD Aqua Installation Kit is an all-in-one solution for installing JACKOBOARD Aqua Shower Trays, including the Aqua, Aqua Flat, Aqua Line Easy, and Aqua Line Pro models. This comprehensive kit is an upgraded version of the standard JACKOBOARD Waterproof Sealing Kit.  

The kit includes:
– A JACKOBOARD Aqua drain kit with either a horizontal or vertical outlet. Select the correct drain kit based on the specific JACKOBOARD Aqua Tray you’re using. Please note that the Aqua Line Easy and Aqua Line Pro kits do not include a grating, as it’s typically supplied with the shower tray.  
– 5kg of cement-based adhesive for securely attaching the Aqua shower base to the substrate.  
– 1 Liter of JACKOBOARD Primer for priming timber and plasterboard surfaces. Cementitious surfaces like concrete screeds and XPS tile backer boards (such as the JACKOBOARD Plano Tile Backer Board) do not require priming.  
– 1 x 10-meter roll of JACKOBOARD Sealing Tape, a mesh tape with a rubberised centre section for completely waterproofing joints between JACKOBOARD Panels and other connections.  
– 2 pre-formed internal corner sealing manchets for sealing internal corner areas of the installation.
– 1 tub of JACKOBOARD Waterproofing Membrane, sufficient for securing the sealing tape and corners.

Waterproofing Application Instructions:
1. Prime all non-cementitious surfaces (floors and walls) with a coat of JACKOBOARD Primer and allow to cure for up to 3 hours. Cementitious surfaces do not need priming.  
2. Apply JACKOBOARD Waterproofing Membrane to all wall and floor joints using a brush or roller. The membrane should extend beyond the width of the sealing tape.  
While the membrane is still wet, apply the JACKOBOARD Sealing Tape over the joint lines and corner areas, smoothing down the tape to remove air bubbles and ensure secure adhesion.
3. Apply a final coat of the waterproofing membrane over all exposed areas of the tape to create a consistent color and finish.
4. Allow the membrane to dry overnight or for at least eight hours before tiling. For cold and damp conditions, a 24-hour curing time is recommended.
5. Wait an additional 24 hours for the JACKOBOARD Waterproofing Membrane coating to dry completely before applying a fresh coat to any voids or areas with insufficient coverage.
