JACKOBOARD Joint Sealing Set 2-K

Description

The JACKOBOARD® Sealing Kit is a two-component waterproof slurry designed to seal the taped joints around the perimeter of JACKOBOARD® shower trays. The kit includes part A and part B waterproof slurry, 2 internal waterproof taped corners, and 1 x 10m roll of waterproof tape.

Surface Preparation:  
Before applying the sealing slurry, ensure that the JACKOBOARD® Aqua shower tray systems are clean and free from any contaminants. Wipe down the surfaces with clean water and a sponge, and allow them to dry completely.

Application:
Mix the Slurry: Open and pour part A into the storage bucket. Gently mix part B until a smooth consistency is achieved.
Apply Slurry: Using a brush, apply a band of slurry slightly wider than the width of the waterproof tape to the clean, dry joint faces on both the walls and floors.
Apply Tape: Press the waterproof tape into the wet slurry, ensuring it adheres securely to the joint.
Seal Corners: For internal or external corners, apply the preformed corner pieces first, then overlap the straight tapes over them.
Finish with Slurry: Apply a layer of slurry over the top face of all tapes. Allow the slurry to dry completely.

Storage:
The JACKOBOARD® Waterproofing Membrane is packaged in a resealable bucket containing all listed components. For optimal shelf life, store the product in a dry, unopened location. The product has a 12-month shelf life under these conditions.
